The Sheridan Ammunition Gauge is a neat little tool that handloaders should be aware of. It is a stainless steel cylinder which contains a chamber machined to SAAMI
minimum tolerances, and a SAAMI mimimum throat. If it accepts a loaded cartridge, you can be assured that the cartridge will fit in any firearm chambered for that caliber.
Slip the first cartridge that you assemble into the gauge, before loading the rest of the tray. Nothing is more frustrating than driving to the range and discovering that you have a box of shells that won't chamber!
